ABILENE, Texas  — Here is the weekend planner for the Hardin-Simmons athletic department for the week of Sept. 14-15.

Cross Country
The HSU cross country teams have the weekend off.

0-2, 0-0 ASC

Hardin-Simmons will close out its nonconference slate with a 1 p.m. home game against Texas College. The Cowboys are looking to get in the win column for the first time this season. HSU is coming off its first game since 2008 when it had a 300-yard passer, 100-yard rusher and 100-yard receiver. You can watch the game for free on www.hsuathletics.com. Men’s Soccer
2-2-0, 0-0-0 ASC

The Cowboys come into American Southwest Conference play after going 2-2 in nonconference action. HSU was picked third in the ASC in the preseason poll. HSU will host Ozarks at 4 p.m. on Friday in the ASC opener and will host Texas-Dallas at 4 p.m. Saturday. Colyn Moore leads the Cowboys with three goals on the year. Women’s Soccer
2-0-1, 0-0-0 ASC

The Cowgirls come into conference play riding a 145-game unbeaten streak in ASC play dating back to 2000. HSU is 2-0-1 so far on the year and is ranked No. 7 in the nation in this week’s poll. HSU will host Ozarks at 2 p.m. on Friday in the ASC opener and will host Texas-Dallas at 2 p.m. Saturday. Courtney Cramer leads the Cowgirls with three goals and Katie Kuykendall has two goals and three assists on the year. HSU has a 44-game unbeaten streak at home. The HSU tennis teams will play in the ASC Individuals tournament in Tyler. You can find the draw sheets here and www.uttylerpatriots.com will update results throughout the tournament. 

6-3, 1-0 ASC

The Cowgirls remain in ASC play this weekend after a 3-0 win over Howard Payne on Tuesday. HSU will play at Schreiner on Friday night at 7 p.m. and at Sul Ross State for a 6 p.m. match on Saturday. Madison Reyes leads the team with 98 kills and Ashley Babineaux has 110 digs.
