Edwards comes to HSU after starting his career as a football and baseball player at Cerritos junior college. He then went on to play just football at West Texas A&M and has spent the last several years playing in the Arena League in football. He is a 1998 graduate of Wilson High School in Long Beach. He was drafted out of high school in the 28^th round by the Chicago White Sox and again by the Montreal Expos in the 39^th round in 1999 after his season at junior college. Personal: Edwards is the son of Pat Green and Leroy Edwards. He has two brothers: Michael and Marwin and four sisters: Andrea, Monique, Shalone and Elaina. He was born April 10, 1980 and is a theater major.
