Pimpton, Barton Named All-Region

ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' senior outfielder Wayne Pimpton and junior pitcher Kyle Barton were each named to the American Baseball Coaches Assosciation All-West Region third team.

Pimpton led the team with 10 home runs and 38 RBIs to go along with his .358 average. He is a senior from Southlake Carroll.

Barton was dominating out of the Cowboy bullpen. He went 6-1 with two saves and posted a 1.76 ERA.

The Cowboys went 26-16 and advanced to the ASC postseason for the fourth straight season.
