Ryan Bruce Commits To Hardin-Simmons

Ryan Bruce, a two-time all-state guard from Glen Rose, has chosen Hardin-Simmons University for his college education and we will also be a member of the HSU basketball program.
"Ryan is a combo guard that can play the one or two for us," said HSU head coach Craig Carse. "He is a good leader and he can really score the basketball. We are excited about the dimension he adds to our team."
Bruce, who averaged almost 22 points per game, was the district 7-3A MVP and he led his team to the regional quarterfinals. He shot 49 percent from the field and was 41 percent from 3-point range. He also averaged 5.9 rebounds and 5.3 points per game.
"I picked Hardin-Simmons, because I really want to be part of what they are building there," said Bruce. "It is a great school and Coach Carse runs a good offense. I have played against some of the guys coming into the program and I think we will become pretty good.
Bruce is the eighth commitment for the Cowboys this spring from the state of Texas.
