Mardochee Jeans Signs With French Professional Team

ABILENE, Texas -- Former Hardin-Simmons basketball player Mardochee Jean has signed to play professionally with the Prisse Macon team in France.
He signed a one-year contract and the team plays its games from September to May.
Jean was named a third-team All-American by D3hoops.com to become the Cowboys' first All-American in the 10 years of D3hoops.com this past season.
Jean, the American Southwest Conference West Division Player of the Year, was also named first-team all-district by the National Association of Basketball Coaches. He was also selected to compete in the Collegiate Basketball Invitational in April.
Jean was also named to the D3hoops.com All-South Region second team. It is the second time in his career he has been named to the second team, along with one season as a third-team selection.
Jean averaged 15.8 points and 10.3 rebounds per game as the Cowboys went 15-12 on the year.
