Five Named All-American

Five Hardin-Simmons football players were named to the
D3football.com All-American teams that were announced prior to the
Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl on Saturday.
Senior Ryan Hunter was named a first-team All-American as a center.
He continues a long line of All-American caliber centers and
extends the streak of the Cowboys having an All-American offensive
lineman to 11.
Senior slotback Mychal Carrillo and senior safety Matt Warnasch
were each named to the second team. Carrillo had 87 catches for
1,076 yards and 12 touchdowns. Warnasch led the ASC with 112
tackles on the year.
Brian Fitzgearld was named third team All-American as an offensive
tackle and tight end Jerrad Grisham was named honorable
mention.
All five Cowboys were seniors and they help lead HSU to a 9-2
record and a spot in the NCAA playoffs this season.
