Carrillo Named First-Team All-American

WACO, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' senior slotback Mychal Carrillo has been named a first-team all-American by the American Football Coaches Association it was announced in conjunction with the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl this week.

Carrillo had 87 catches for 1,076 yards and 12 touchdowns for the Cowboys. He finished his career second on the career receiving yards and touchdown charts and third in receptions. He is only the third HSU receiver to have multiple 1,000-yard receiving efforts.

Carrillo help lead the Cowboys to the NCAA playoffs and a 9-2 record. He was a first-team all-ASC selection and was named first team all-South region by D3football.com.
