Will compete for the starting quarterback spot. 2010: Transferred to HSU in the spring of 2011 and went through spring practice: 2010: Did not play. 2009 (Division II Abilene Christian): Started the first five games and went 5-0, while sharing time at quarterback. Went 10-for-13 in a win over No. 2 Northwest Missouri State in the season opener. On the year, Went 64-of-114 with five TDs and four interceptions and had 728 yards passing. Came off the bench in an NCAA playoff game and went 3-for-4 for 33 yards and drove the Wildcats to their only touchdown in a loss to Northwest Missouri. 2008: Was the backup to all-American Billy Malone for the nationally-ranked Wildcats. He played mainly spot duty most of the year, but had two starts for an injured Malone for the top-ranked Wildcats. He was 21-for-27 for 197 yards and two TDs in a win over Tarleton State and the next week went 24-for-34 for 350 yards and three touchdowns. Finished the year 59-of-87 for 666 yards and five TDs with just one interception. High School: Was an honorable mention all-state quarterback for Mike Spradlin at Abilene Cooper High School.
