Kirk Rogers Re-Signs With Chiefs

ABILENE, Texas - Former Hardin-Simmons All-American Kirk Rogers has been activated to the Kansas City Chiefs practice squad it was announced by the Chiefs today. He will work out with the team this week.

Rogers originally entered the NFL as a rookie free agent with the Chiefs this season, but was released on August 27th. He played in 40 games (28 starts) for Hardin-Simmons where he caught 199 passes for 4,117 yards (21.0 avg.) with 50 TDs in college.

The Olney, Texas native established school and conference records for career touchdowns (51), receiving TDs (50), receiving yards (4,117) and points scored (312).

Rogers is the first HSU player in the Division III area to be on the roster of an NFL team.
