SEGUIN, Texas — Hardin-Simmons’ men’s golf team is in eighth place after two rounds of the 2010 John Bohmann Invitational at the par-71, 6,676-yard Starke Park in Seguin.

Kevin Clark was the top Cowboy on the day as he shot a 72 and a 76 for a 148 total. Austin Stewart had a 73-79-152. Blaine King trimmed three shots from round one to round to and has a 79-76-155 total. Tyler Mileger shot an 82-77-159 and Dylan Pierce shot an 85-79-164.

HSU had rounds of 306 and 308 for a 614 total. Texas Lutheran leads their own event after scores of 284 and 285 for a 1-over 569. Mary Hardin-Baylor is second, Houston-Victoria third, Schreiner fourth and Trinity fifth.

Jonathan Sustaita shot a 67-69-136 to take the medalist lead. The tournament will conclude with 18 holes on Tuesday.

In the women’s Lady Bulldog Fall Classic the Cowgirls only sent two players. Chelsee Smith shot a 109 in her first career event. Traci Tschirhart had to withdrawl. McMurry leads the way with a 328.
