Entries Being Accepted For Joe Black Golf Tournament
ABILENE, Texas — Hardin-Simmons’ golf program will host its 22nd annual Joe Black Golf Classic on Friday, Sept. 23 at the Abilene Country Club Fairway Course at 8 a.m.
Reservations are being taken now and teams can consist of up to five players or you can register as an individual and you will be placed on a team. The entry fee is $125 per player and includes green fee and cart, breakfast, tee prizes, refreshments on the golf course, lunch, and awards.
There will be on-course contests during the tournament with four big prizes, including $10,000 cash on hole No. 8, a Callaway Razr Hawk Driver, a golf vacation and an escort driver protection package.
There are still some hole sponsorships available for $100 and friends of the program who do not participate in the golf tournament are encouraged to come out to lunch for $15.
There will also be a live auction during the lunch with several items that have been donated to the program.
The Joe Black Tournament is named after Hardin-Simmons Hall of Famer and former PGA president Joe Black. The tournament raises funds for the HSU golf program.
