Cowboys Down Southwestern

ABILENE, Texas -- Hardin-Simmons’ men’s soccer team received a goal from Isaiah Hicks in the 85th minute to seal a win over Southwestern 2-1 in the final game of the American Southwest Conference-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Challenge on Saturday at a rainy HSU Soccer Complex in Abilene.

Hicks scored off an assist from Chris Hunter. HSU took an early lead when Zach Johnson scored on a double assist from Patrick Almond and Estevan Arbaiza.

Southwestern added a goal on a penalty kick in the final three minutes.

HSU improved to 1-1-1 on the year and Southwestern fell to 3-2.
