ITA Results

 RICHARDSON, Texas - Hardin-Simmons men's tennis team competed at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's West Regional over the weekend at UT-Dallas.

Junior Todd Henington led the way for the Cowboys as he advanced to the semifinals of the consolation bracket, before bowing out of the 128-man field.

Andy Cariens advanced three rounds in the main draw before being eliminated. 

Gavin Ybarra, Bryson Carter and Todd Henington all lost in the first round sending them to the consolation bracket. Ybarra advanced to the quarterfinal round before falling to former HSU player Ramon Aguirre of UMHB.

Sean Strehlow, Max Prachyl, Tony Record, Trey Chavez and Ryan Lawson all won their first match before being eliminated in the second round. 

In the doubles competition, Cariens and Strehlow advanced to the quarterfinals. Chavez and Henington, Carter and Record and Ybarra and Lawson were all eliminated in the first round.

The tournament was the last event of the fall non-traditional season for the Cowboys.
