ABILENE, Texas  — Hardin-Simmons' men's tennis team split a tennis doubleheader on Saturday at the Streich Tennis Center, falling 8-1 to LeTourneau and beating Dallas Baptist 6-3 in the nightcap.

In the morning match, Jesse Rawlings and Frankie Sanchez teamed to win the only match of the dual for HSU at No. 2 doubles. They won 8-5 over Kendall Beggs and Sindre Johnsgaard.

Michael McCullough, Nathan Chavez and Dylan Price at No. 1, 2 and 6 singles all lost tough three setters.

In the nightcap, HSU won at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles to take the lead.

Then Sanchez, Rawlings, Jordan Wilson and Price all won at No. 3, 4, 5 and 6 singles to secure the win.

HSU is now 1-2 on the year and will return to action Feb. 16 at Abilene Christian.
