POMONA, Calif. — Hardin-Simmons' men's tennis team lost a pair of matches on Tuesday on its California swing, falling 8-1 this morning to Pomona-Pitzer and losing 7-2 this afternoon against Occidental.

Steven Stanley and Jordan Wilson won the only match against Pomona-Pitzer at No. 3 doubles.

Against Occidental, Nathan Chavez and Michael McCullough won at No. 1 doubles and Stanley and Wilson won at No. 2 doubles to give HSU a 2-1 lead heading to singles.

HSU lost all 12 singles matches in straight sets.

HSU is now 1-9 on the year. Pomona-Pitzer is now 4-7 and Occidental improved to 2-3. HSU will play No. 3 Williams on Wednesday morning.
