

Cowboys Compete At McMurry
ABILENE, Texas -- Hardin-Simmons men’s track team finished 12th at the McMurry Invitational.
In the 200 meter dash, Devin Carver finished 20th with a time of 22.49 and Patrick Neville finished 32nd with a time of 23.82. Josh Malacara finished 25th in the 400 meter run with a time of 55.21 In the 800 meter run, Kameron Hartsfield finished 17th with a time of 2:07.20 and Adrian Parker who finished with a time of 2:11.53 and an 20th place finish.
Matt Buchhorn led the way for the Cowboys in the 1500 meter run finishing 26th with a time of 4:30.29 and Adrian Parker finished 29th with a time of 4:36.76. Kameron Hartsfield was the lone cowboy runner in the 3000 steeplechase finishing in fourth place with a time of 10:55.05. The 4x400 relay placed ninth with a time of 3:30.93 ran by Matt Rodriquez, George Calsadillas, Josh Malacara and Patrick Neville.
The men’s field events consisted of a 15th place finish in the pole vault with a 4.13 meter jump for Daniel Kirby and a 16th place finish in the long jump for Patrick Neville. Brendon Kelso placed 14th in the shot put with a throw of 13.00 meters and Adam Clark finished 17th with a throw of 12.14 meters. Kyle Pinkerton placed 12th in the discus with a throw of 43.29 meters and Brendon Kelso finished 14th with a throw of 41.45 meters. Pinkerton finished sixth in the hammer with 45.43 meters, Clark finished ninth with 41.10 meters and Kelso finished 11th with 37.64 meters. Kelso also finished fourth in the javelin with a distance of 53.66 meters
The Cowboys return to action this Saturday at the David Noble meet in San Angelo.
