HSU Competes At David Nobles Relay

SAN ANGELO, Texas -- Hardin-Simmons' women's track team placed 14th and the men's track team placed ninth at the David Noble Invitational on Saturday at Angelo State University.

The Cowgirls picked up six team points in the relays. The 4x400 relay placed fifth as Aaron Livingston, Kaitlin Roberts, Audrey Salter and Lauren Rodgers ran a 4:01.34. The 4x100 team placed seventh. Nicole Campbell, Livingston, Halee Edwards and Rodgers ran a 50.58.

The only individual to place for the Cowgirls was Mackinsey Williams with an eighth-place toss in the hammer throw. She threw it 125-09.

On the men's side Kameron Hartfield finished fourth in the steeplechase with an 11:12. The 4x100 team placed seventh with a time of 44:08. Zeth Barron, Jose Bolanos, Kyle Hooper and Daniel Kaplinski ran the event for HSU.

Brendon Kelso had another solid day in the throws. Kelso finished third in the javelin with a 166-11 and he placed sixth in the hammer with a throw of 133-05. Taylor Hollingshead placed seventh in the javelin with a throw of 150-04.

HSU will compete at Texas Tech next weekend.
