Men’s Track in Second After First Day

ABILENE, Texas — Hardin-Simmons men’s track and field is in second place after completing its first day of the Hardin-Simmons Invitational.

Kameron Hartfeld finished first in the 3000 steeplechase with a time of 11:00.0 and Cameron Lowman placed second in the 10,000 with 40:41.9.

Daniel Kaplinski finished seventh with 5.97 meters and Kyle Hooper finished ninth in the long jump with 5.53 meters. Brendon Kelso placed first in the javelin with 54.34 meters and seventh in the hammer with 39.93 meters. Taylor Hollingshead placed tenth in the hammer with 27.62 meters and third in the javelin with 48.50 meters. Keaton Alexander placed 12th in the javelin hammer with 24.28 meters and tenth in the javelin with 36.58 meters. Zeth Barron placed 14th in the javelin with 31.54 meters.

The Cowboys return to action at 9 a.m.
