GEORGETOWN, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' women's basketball team closed the 2017 portion of its schedule with a 72-55 loss at Southwestern on Wednesday afternoon in Georgetown.
The Cowgirls had a cold-shooting afternoon, going just 8-for-45 in the first three quarters and the Cowgirls trailed 52-28 going into the fourth quarter.
HSU got the offense on track with a 27-point fourth quarter, which was the highest total the Cowgirls have produced in a quarter this year.
Freshman Jasmine Croskey led the Cowgirls with nine points. Addison Garcia added eight points and Danie Mabry and Karlea Ritchie added seven points each. Ritchie led the Cowgirls with a career-best 13 rebounds.
Noel Pratts led a balanced Southwestern attack with 11 points.
HSU is now 3-7 on the year and will be off until January 1 when it hosts Nebraska Wesleyan. Southwestern improved to 3-6 on the year.
