Cowgirls Tie Rhodes

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Hardin-Simmons' women's soccer team tied Rhodes College in the first day of the American Southwest Conference - Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference challenge, Saturday afternoon in Memphis, Tenn.

Jessie Cassidy scored the first goal of the game for Rhodes at the 25:15 mark, but the Cowgirls quickly answered. Amy Kuykendall had her first goal of the year at 32:08 on an assist from Mickey Rogers.

The game was evenly played with Rhodes outshooting the Cowgirls 15-11, and HSU having six corners to three for Rhodes.

The Cowgirls are now 0-1-2 on the year and will play Austin College on Sunday at 11 a.m.
