Cowgirls Blank UT-Tyler, 2-0

TYLER, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' women's soccer team pushed its American Southwest Conference unbeaten streak to 97 games with a 2-0 blanking of UT-Tyler on Thursday afternoon at Citizen's Bank Complex in Tyler.

HSU got on the board early when Kelsey Byars' corner kick went across the box to Megan Ryan who shot it past the keeper at the 18:28 mark of the first half.

The Cowgirls dominated play in the second half and finally found the net in the 83rd minute when Lindsay Cogburn found Jordan Morley in the box and Morley headed it home for a 2-0 Cowgirl lead. It was Morley's team-leading fifth goal of the season.

Christi Carr was on her game in goal for the Cowgirls. She recorded three saves. HSU outshot UTT 16-7 in the game.

The Cowgirls are now 4-2-2 overall and 3-0-0 in ASC action. HSU plays Concordia on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Cedar Park High School.
