Rain Cancels Cowgirl Season Opener

SHERMAN, Texas — Hardin-Simmons' women's soccer team had its season opener with Austin College canceled from heavy rains in the Sherman area on Wednesday afternoon.

The Cowgirls will now open their season on Saturday at 5 p.m. against Trinity in Abilene. It is a matchup of two nationally-ranked teams. Trinity is No. 5 and the Cowgirls are No. 13. The two met in the NCAA Tournament last season with Trinity winning 1-0.
