MARSHALL, Texas — Hardin-Simmons' women's soccer team earned the right to host the American Southwest Conference Championship next weekend with a 4-0 win over East Texas Baptist in ASC action on Friday evening in Marshall.
HSU jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead in the first 10 minutes. Katie Kuykendall scored her 15th goal of the season and Caitlin Cramer added two straight goals. It remained 3-0 until the 80th minute when Kati McCarty scored the fourth goal.
The Cowgirls are now 16-1 on the year and 12-0 in ASC play. HSU will close the regular season on Saturday at LeTourneau. ETBU is now 10-5-1 and 7-4 in ASC play.
HSU will host the ASC women's soccer tournament Friday-Sunday at the HSU Soccer Complex.
