ABILENE, Texas — Hardin-Simmons' softball team will host its inaugural Alumni softball scrimmage on Saturday, Feb. 4 at Ellis Field beginning at approximately 2 p.m.

Several former players have committed to play in the event, including former All-Americans Arin Spence, Sadye Hill and Nicole Cortez.

The event is the kickoff to the spring season for the Cowgirls, who open up play on Feb. 17 at home against Austin College. It will coincide with the marathon game fundraiser to be held that morning at Ellis Field.
