Cowgirls Fare Well At ASC Individuals

Complete Draws

TYLER, Texas -- Hardin-Simmons' women's tennis teams had a strong showing in the individual American Southwest Conference Championships over the weekend at the University of Texas at Tyler.

All of the Cowgirls won at least one match in both singles and doubles play. Three of the Cowgirls top players, Bria Camarillo, Lisa Mertz and Sarah McAfee did not compete, forcing some players to play up from where they normally would.

Newcomers Morgan Rainer and Danielle Cochran won flights No. 3 and No. 5 respectively in their first ASC action for the Cowgirls.

Linsey Chavez and Lyndsey Matthews combined to win the No. 4 doubles flight over teammates Stephanie Bertran and Melissa Yeakle.
