Cowgirls Win At Sul Ross State

ALPINE, Texas -- Hardin-Simmons’ women’s tennis team defeated Sul Ross State, 8-1, in American Southwest Conference action Saturday afternoon in Alpine.

The Cowgirls won all three doubles matches in easy fashion. In singles play, Lisa Mertz, Morgan Ranier, Danielle Cochran, Diane Crouch and Linsey Chavez each won in straight sets.

The Cowgirls improved to 8-2 on the year and 3-0 in ASC West play. Sul Ross State fell to 6-2 overall and 1-2 in league play.
