Cowgirls Bow Out Of ITA

ABILENE, Texas  — All four Hardin-Simmons women's tennis players bowed out of the singles brackets of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Southwest Regional on Friday in San Antonio.

In flight A singles Genene Haddad split a pair of matches, beating Ashlee Bilbo of Mary Hardin-Baylor, 6-2, 6-4 before falling to Kathleen Lundquist of Trinity, 7-5, 2-6, 10-8.

Charity Ross lost in the first round to Rachel Cole of Texas-Tyler, 6-2, 6-0. Tram Le lost 6-0, 6-1 to Sarah Case of LeTourneau in the first round.

Laura Haney beat Katie Dorsey of Schreiner, 6-2, 6-4 before falling 6-1, 6-0 to Kristy Hamilton of Trinity. Jackson, Le and Haddad all split matches in the consolation bracket and Haney lost her first consolation bracket match.  

In flight A doubles Haddad and Haney lost in the second round after a bye in round one, 8-6 to a team from Southwestern. Le and Ross lost in the first round to a team from Texas-Tyler. They will both go in the consolation bracket on Saturday.
