Hinton Has Solid Run in NCAA Regional Meet


GREENSBORO, N.C. - Freshman Lindsey Hinton had a solid run in her first NCAA Regional Cross Country meet on Saturday morning at the NCAA Division III South/Southeast Regional that was hosted by Guilford College in Greensboro, N.C.

Hinton, who is the first Cowgirl to go to the NCAA Regional in the two year history of the program, finished in 63rd place out of the 189 runners in the meet. She had a time of 26:11.

Caitlin Masse of Trinity broke the course record to win the 6K race in a time of 22:56. She was :39 seconds ahead of her closest competitor.

Rhodes College easily outdistanced the field for the title with 35 points. Emory was second with 100 points.

The event ends the cross country season for Hardin-Simmons.
