Track Teams Compete at Texas Tech

LUBBOCK, Texas - Hardin-Simmons track teams had a solid showing at the Texas Tech Indoor Meet Saturday at the Bubble in Lubbock.

In the men's 200-meter dash, Matt Rodriquez finished 60^th with a time of 24.04, Patrick Neville finished 62^nd with a time of 24.39, George Calsadillas finished 64^th with 24.76 and Jose Bolanos in 67^th with a time of 25.28. Kameron Hartfield finished 31^st with a time of 1:25.36 in the 600-yard run and 37^th in the 800-meter run. Adrian Parker placed 32^nd with a time of 1:26.38 in the 600-yard run and 40^th in the 800-meter run. Matt Buchhorn finished 44^th with a time of 4:54.16 in the 1000-meter run, and 14^th in the 5000-meter run.

Parker, Calsadillas, Rodriquez and Hartfield finished 11^th in the distance medley. Koby Parker finished seventh with 13.97 in the shot put and Adrian Parker finished sixth in the weight throw.

In the 55-meter dash, Margo Stoy finished 42^nd with a time of 7.77. Five Cowgirls ran in the 600-yard run. Jayme Wills finished 23^rd with a time of 1:39.60, Lauren Rodgers finished 25^th with a time of 1:40.08, Bethany Williams placed 26^th with a time of 1:41.35, Audrey Salter finished 27^th with a time of 1:42.31 and Allison Robertson finished 29^th with a time of 1:44.51. Kami Bellah finished 70^th, Lauren Rodgers finished 71^st and Nicole Campbell finished 74^th in the 200-meter dash.

In the 800-meter run, Lindsey Hinton finished 28^th with a time of 2:35.64, Jayme Wills finished 34^th with a time of 2:39.67 and Bethany Williams finished 36^th with a time of 2:41.15. Nicole Campbell placed 40^th in the 55-meter hurdles. Kami Bellah finished 45^th in the 55-meter hurdles 14^th in the triple jump. Rodgers, Salter, Hinton and Bellah finished 18^th in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 4:25.18.

Both track teams return to action next weekend where they will compete at the Texas Tech Indoor Meet in Lubbock.
