SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Freshman Derek Footer won the 110 meter hurdles with a wind-aided time of 14.36 to highlight the Hardin-Simmons track teams day at the Trinity Alumni Invitational in San Antonio.
Aaron Livingston ran a 13.14 in the 100 and 26.42 in the 200. Jayci Shelton ran a 1:00.62 to place ninth in the 400. Kaitlin Roberts ran a 2:28.29 in the 800, Julia Holub ran a 5:17 in the 1,500 and a 19:53 in the 5000 to place second.
Halee Edwards ran a 1:07.42 in the 400 hurdles. Edwards, Lauren Rodgers, Livingston and Shelton ran a 49.38 in the 4x100 and Shelton, Edwards, Roberts and Rodgers ran a season-best 3:58.77 in the 4x400 relay to place second.
Kami Bellah had a jump of 5-0 1/4 in the high jump to place ninth and she was fifth in the triple jump with a 34 4 ¾.
Rebecca Loney threw 89-06 in the discus and Branell Falcon threw 86-4. Falcon was third in the hammer throw with a 132-2. Nicole Campbell was fifth in the javelin with a 113-5. Loney was 87-2 in the javelin and Falcon 84-4.
For the men, Joseph Limon ran a 11.52 in the 100 and a 23.73 in the 200 to pace the Cowboy sprinters. Daniel Kaplinski ran a 50.39 in the 400 to place seventh. Kaplinski ran a 2:09.13 and Tyson Denton ran a 2:12.73 in the 800 and Denton ran a 14:38 in the 1500. Garrett Monita ran a 19:18 5000 meters.
Sam Green joined Footer in the 110 hurdles finals and placed seventh with a 16.06.
Justin Grey threw a 41-2 ½ in the shot put, 143-8 in the discus to place fourth, 112-9 in the hammer. Bryce Bevill threw a 123-2 in the discus, 115-1 in the hammer and 145-10 in the javelin.
