ABILENE, Texas — Funeral services have been set for Jessica Rogers, a Hardin-Simmons student-athlete, who passed away on Thursday in an automobile accident.

The funeral will be held at the Henrietta High School Gymnasium at 2 p.m. on Sunday.

"Jessica was a great person, a great friend and a great teammate," said HSU head coach Sabrina Bingham. "Our family bond has been broken with the loss of Jessica. Our thoughts are with her family."

Hardin-Simmons athletics and HSU volleyball would also like to thank everyone around the HSU Community, the American Southwest Conference, NCAA Division III and the college athletics community in general that has reached out and offered their condolences.  

"All of the support we have received from all over the country has been overwhelming and very much appreciated," said Bingham. "The athletic community, especially at the Division III level, is a very tight-knit community and they have really reached out to our team."
