Cowgirls Place Ninth At Concordia
AUSTIN, Texas — In a tough field that featured several scholarship schools, the Hardin-Simmons' women's cross country team placed ninth in the 15-team field at the Concordia Invitational at Cedar Park.
Julia Holub led the Cowgirl contingent with a time of 20:23. Maloree Kendall was right behind her with a 20:41. They placed 37th and 40th overall.
Whitney Browning ran a 21:15 and Morgan Yarbrough ran 21:24. Jessica Thurman ran a 22:50, Dani Siegert and Whitney Rankin ran 23:03 and 23:22 respectively for HSU.
The University of Texas won the meet with 33 points. HSU scored 260 points.
This is the last tune-up for the Cowgirls before the American Southwest Conference meet, where they will try to defend their title.
