ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' football team will host the sixth annual State LineMAN Challenge on Saturday morning at Shelton Stadium.
Teams from all over the state have qualified for the event through regional competitions around the state and 38 teams in three different divisions will compete for the title of state champion.
Arlington High is the three-time defending champion in Division I. Liberty Hill is back to defend its title in Division II and Brock is back as the defending champion in Division III.
The event will begin at 9 a.m. and will conclude around noon. Admission is free for spectators.

Forward Tire Throw - throw small tire forward for distance (5 man - total distance)
Bench - bench press total reps (185 lbs = 1 point, 205 lbs = 3 pts, 225 lbs = 5 pts) - (5 man total pts)
Farmers Walk - total time for 5 walking distance with implement
4-Way DB Stack - stack db's on plyo boxes (5 man total time)
Tire Flip Medley Relay - 5 guys rotate after 4 consec. flips - 20 flip relay for total time
PowerDrive - 5 man relay for time ***possible 2 attempts
Sled Relay - total time for 5 man relay with weighted sled
Private Ryan - total time for 5 man relay
Obstacle Course - total time for 5 participants
Monster Sled - 3 pushers, 2 riders (total time)*** possible 2 attempts
Tug of War - 5 man teams, single elimination (Only top 4 finishers awarded points)
