Cowboys Play To Scoreless Draw
SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' men's soccer team played to a scoreless draw after two overtimes against Claremont Mudd Scripps on Saturday evening in San Antonio.

It was a tightly-contested game with CMS having 12 shots and HSU with five. CMS had a shot hit the post in the final minute of the second overtime.

Michael Vargas had five saves for the Cowboys in the shutout.

Game Notes

  • The shutout was the 17th for Michael Vargas in his career. He is just five behind Logan Waters for the HSU record.
  • The meeting with Claremont Mudd Scripps was the first in school history.

Both teams are now 0-1-1 on the year.
