ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' men's soccer came back to win 3-2 against Texas College in overtime on Wednesday night at the HSU Soccer Complex.
The Texas College Steers struck first with an Eddie Molina goal in the 34th minute. The 1-0 Steer lead held until the 67th minute when Freddy Hernandez scored the equalizer for the Cowboys.
Janvier Emmanuel scored in the 79th minute to make it 2-1 Texas College late, but Frane Vidosevic sent the game into overtime with an 87th minute Cowboy goal to tie 2-2.
In the 96th minute, Vidosevic got one on one with the keeper and scored the golden goal to make it a 3-2 Cowboy win.
The Cowboys had 19 shots with eight on goal and the Steers had 11 shots with seven on frame. The Cowboys had nine corners to the Steers one.
Cowboy keeper Rafa Mejorado won with five saves. Texas College goalie Jason De La Mora had five saves in the game as well.
The Cowboys move to 5-0 on the season and will play at the campus of Trinity University in San Antonio on Saturday night at 7 p.m. against Christopher Newport next.
