HSU Teams Finish Third at Concordia Classic

AUSTIN, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' men's and women's cross country ran in the Concordia Classic on Friday night.

Both the men's and women's team finished third overall out of eleven competing schools.

Sydney Tencate led the women running a 24:06 placing sixth overall. Riley Stirm ran a 27:10, Madison Hemenway ran a 27:21, and Yadira Loera finished in 27:47.

Yulissa Rios ran a 28:00, Rachel Clark had a 29:08, and Alex Pharris had a 30:52. Leslie Gonzalez ran a 31:51, Lauren Stokes had a 32:21 and Briana Cruz finished in 33:12.

For the men, Zach Mitchell led with a 29:11. Eric Monroy had a 29:31, River Smith had a 29:32 and Tyler Rohrman finished in 29:39.

Marcus Arroyo had a 32:03, Nathan McEndree ran a 34:07 and Steven Hicks finished with 34:53.

The next HSU Cross Country meet is on October 5th at the Our Lady of the Lake Invitational in San Antonio, Texas.
