FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Hardin-Simmons' men's cross country team had a solid team effort at the Chile Pepper Festival in Fayetteville, Ark. On Saturday morning.
The Cowboys finished 24th in the 39-team field of one of the top cross country events in the country.
Tyler Rohrman led the Cowboys with a great individual race. He placed 36th out of 346 runners and finished with a time of 26.41 in the 8K race. He was just two second off Chad Caton's school record for an 8K.
Zach Mitchell ran a 28:03 and River Smith was just behind him at 28:04. Sammy Magallan and Eric Monroy also ran under 29:00 with times of 28:39 and 28:47. Marcus Arroyo ran a 30:05, Tyler Stout ran 30:39 and Nathan McEndree ran a 32:08.
HSU will return to action on Oct. 19 at the Bill Libby Invitational.
