Cowgirls Win 2-0 at LeTourneau

LONGVIEW, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' women's soccer won 2-0 over the LeTourneau Yellow Jackets in American Southwest Conference play on Saturday night.

Taylor Bernal scored the first Cowgirls goal in the 79th minute off assists from Hayden Abor and Randie Dennison. Madelyn Dowell scored in the 82nd minute to make it a 2-0 Cowgirl win.

The Cowgirls had 20 shots in the game with seven on frame while the Yellow Jackets had three total shots, all on goal. HSU led the corners with 15 to LeTourneau's one.

Haley Foley started in goal for the Cowgirls and had three saves in the win. Mackenzie Wilbanks started at keeper for LeTourneau and had four saves on the night.

The Cowgirls are now 7-2-1 on the season and 4-0 in the ASC. LeTourneau falls to 5-5 and 1-3 in conference. The Cowgirls return to action next Thursday at 5 p.m. against Ozarks at home in Abilene.
