Cowgirls Wrap Up Regular Season, 2-0 over McMurry

ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' women's soccer team won 2-0 over McMurry on Friday night at the HSU Soccer Complex in American Southwest Conference play to finish the regular season.

The Cowgirls finish a perfect 11-0 in the ASC and will host the conference tournament in Abilene, starting with a game against Concordia in the first round on Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 5 p.m.

Senior Taylor Bernal scored both Cowgirl goals with Kendell Groom and Jessica Boldenow assists in the 12th and 42nd minutes of the game. Bernal leads the Cowgirls and the conference this season with 12 goals.

The Cowgirls had 10 total shots and five on frame while the War Hawks had nine shots and two on target. The Cowgirls had 10 corners to McMurry's four.

Kayla Gable got the start in goal for the Cowgirls and had two saves in the win. Jordan Gregory started at keeper for the War Hawks and had three saves in the match.

The Cowgirls end the regular season at 14-2-1 and a perfect 11-0 in ASC play. The War Hawks slip to 10-3-6 and 6-3-2 in conference. The ASC Tournament starts next week as the Cowgirls host Concordia at 5 p.m. on Tuesday.
