ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowgirl basketball team was ranked No. 8 in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association NCAA Division III Preseason Top 25 Coaches Poll, released on Tuesday.
The Cowgirls finished 24-4 and 18-0 in American Southwest Conference play and won the first NCAA Tournament game since 2006 under head coach
Kendra Whitehead.
The Cowgirls return leading scorers
Paris Kiser and
Parris Parmer, both first team all-ASC selections. Parmer was also a WBCA All-American and on the all-star team last season.
The Cowgirl scrimmage at Baylor on Friday night at 6 p.m. before the home opener in the Mabee Complex on Nov. 11 against Schreiner at 3 p.m.
