BELTON, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowgirl volleyball team dropped the ASC Tournament semifinal 3-0 to the Mary Hardin-Baylor Cru on Friday to end the season for the Cowgirls.
The Cowgirls went down in sets of 25-19, 25-15, 26-24 to the ASC No. 1 seed UMHB. The Cowgirls hit .221 with 36 kills in the match.
Liz Underwood had nine kills to lead the team after a 15-kill game against LETU in the quarterfinal Thursday.
Gabby Jones and
Rylee Ortega each hit eight kills for HSU.
Keatyn Rodgers led the Cowgirls with 19 assists and
Ali Meyer had 11 assists.
Kat Martinez had 24 digs for Hardin-Simmons defensively. Underwood had 12 digs and Meyer got 11 digs in the game.
The Cowgirls finish the year at 13-15 in the ASC Tournament semifinal year in the first year under head coach
