SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowboy soccer team fell 3-0 to the Bowdoin College Polar Bears on Friday night in the first round of the NCAA championship tournament hosted by Trinity.
 
The Cowboys played the Polar Bears in a scoreless battle until Bowdoin got a goal across in the 71^st minute.
 
Bowdoin finished the game off with two more goals to win by a final score of 3-0 in the opening round of the NCAAs.
 
Hardin-Simmons shot nine times with four shots on goal. Bowdoin shot 22 times with eight shots on goal.
 
The Polar Bears led with eight corner kicks to three from the Cowboys.
 
The Cowboys reached the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2014 after winning the ASC championship. Hardin-Simmons finished the year with a record of 12-6-2 in 2024.
