Box Score ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowgirl basketball team won 64-63 playing at the McMurry War Hawks on Friday night with a 3-pointer and-one from 
Aiken Semones to take the lead.
 
Hardin-Simmons was tied at the half with McMurry 35-35 with a bucket from 
Madison Williams before the half. Williams finished the game with the Cowgirl lead in scoring with 23 points.
 
The Cowgirls were down 53-43 after a tough third quarter and worked their way back into it, shooting 50% and scoring 21 in the fourth quarter.
 
HSU trailed 63-60 with six seconds remaining and called a timeout to get the advance. Coach 
Kendra Whitehead drew up a way to get Semones a shot off to tie the game with five seconds left.
 
Semones drained the 3-pointer but got fouled in the process, sending her to the line with the game tied 63-63. She made the free throw and the Cowgirls went home winning 64-63, still undefeated on the year.
 
Jacqueline Berry scored 15 points for HSU to join Williams in double-figures. Berry led the team with four assists and had the most rebounds with 12, giving her a double-double.
 
The Cowgirls improve to 5-0 on the season after the last second win over McMurry. HSU will go on the road to play at George Fox in Newberg, Oregon next Tuesday at 7 p.m.
