SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowboy tennis team dropped a dual match facing the Trinity Tigers 8-1 playing on the road in San Antonio.
 
Luke Cantu had a win for the Cowboys against the Tigers. Cantu took on Candelas Ruiz at No. 2 singles and won 6-4, 7-6(7-5) in a tiebreaker win.
 
Justus Petersilie and Cantu competed in a tight match for No. 1 doubles in an 8-6 defeat to Dhanani and Liao of Trinity. Petersilie forced a 12^th game in his first set to Perry at No. 1 singles, going down 7-5, 0-6.
 
The Cowboy team of Jameson Sorrell and Jose Torrez dropped the third doubles contest 8-5 to the Tiger team of Flores and Kaczmarczyk.
 
The Cowboys drop to 1-3 on the spring season and will host Dallas Baptist next Friday at 3 p.m. at the Streich Tennis Center in Abilene.
