RICHARDSON, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowboy basketball team fell 76-67 to the UT Dallas Comets on Saturday in American Southwest Conference action.
 
The Cowboys held a narrow lead in the first half, up 31-30. The Comets shot 43 percent in the second half, including 5-13 from the 3-point line, to outscore HSU 46-36 and take the ASC game 76-67.
 
The Cowboys had a tough afternoon shooting 27 percent from the field in the game. UTD only shot 33 percent on the day.
 
 The Cowboys were led on offense by 
Austin Brewer with 14 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double.
 
Colin Roberts scored 11 points as did 
Jason Justice, who added five assists. 
Will Bartoszek had ten points and seven rebounds but fouled out with about five minutes remaining in the game.
 
Hardin-Simmons falls to 16-5 and 9-3 in the ASC while UTD improves to 14-7 and 10-2 in conference play. HSU will play at McMurry Thursday night before hosting the War Hawks Saturday for Cowboy Senior Day.
