Box Score ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowboy tennis team won a doubles match against the UTPB Falcons out of the DII Lone Star Conference on Saturday in an 8-1 loss at the Streich Tennis Center.
 
The Cowboy doubles team of Zach Fowler and Jose Torrez defeated the No. 2 doubles team of Katsuda and Nitzschke 8-5.
 
Luke Cantu and Justus Petersilie went down in the No. 1 doubles match with an 8-5 final to Krahofer and Rudnicki.
 
Petersilie gave Katsuda a run at No. 1 singles in a 6-4, 6-4 defeat for the Cowboys. Torrez went to a tiebreaker and fell narrowly in No. 6 singles for Hardin-Simmons, falling 7-5, 6-3 to Howard.
 
The Cowboys go to 0-2 and will travel to Kerrville to play at Schreiner on Feb. 16 starting at 2 p.m.
