Box Score ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowgirl tennis team took one match of singles in an 8-1 loss to the UTPB Falcons, a Division II out of the Lone Star, on Saturday at the Streich Tennis Center.
 
The Cowgirls got a win at No. 3 singles from Brenna Gordon. Gordon won 6-3, 6-4 against Guitton playing singles for the Falcons.
 
Gordon and her doubles partner Addyson Tylaska played a tight match at No. 2 doubles against the Falcons, dropping to Guitton and Salazar 8-6.
 
Jonnah Smith played another close match against her DII opponent in singles No. 2, dropping 6-3, 6-4 to Vrucan.
 
The Cowgirls drop to 0-2 and will play next at Schreiner on Feb. 16 in Kerrville at 2 p.m.
