LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Hardin-Simmons' Cowgirl tennis team dropped a dual match to the Occidental Tigers 8-1 on the road in California to finish the spring break trip out west.
The Cowgirls took one match in the loss to Oxy Tuesday.
Christa Bennett and
Halle Smith won 8-4 over Matabuena and Depery in the No. 3 doubles match.
Laurel Coleman went to the 12
th game in her second set at one singles, 6-2, 7-5 going down to Shalaev.
Smith finished down 6-4, 6-3 to Depery at six singles, and
Addyson Tylaska split her loss, down 6-3, 2-6, 6-3 to Chun at five singles.
The Cowgirls are now 4-6 and will host the Sul Ross State Lobos on March 21 at 2 p.m. in Abilene.
