ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowgirl tennis team defeated Oklahoma Wesleyan on Saturday 7-2 at the Streich Tennis Center.
 
Laurel Coleman and Jonnah Smith won 8-6 in the first doubles match against J. Henderson and M. Henderson.
 
Brenna Gordon and Addyson Tylaska got the Cowgirl win in doubles No. 2 by a score of 8-6 playing Aleksic and N. Henderson.
 
Christa Bennett and Halle Smith won three doubles on a forfeit for Hardin-Simmons.
 
Coleman defeated the No.1 singles opponent N. Henderson 6-0, 6-3 for the Cowgirl win.
 
Jonnah Smith won three singles 7-5, 6-4 in a match down to the final sets against Aleksic.
 
Tylaska defeated Hays in straight sets 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5 singles and Halle Smith won on another forfeit in No. 6 singles for Hardin-Simmons.
 
The Cowgirls improve to 4-4 on the season and will play in California for a spring break trip with a match with Occidental on March 12.
