RICHARDSON, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowgirl tennis team fell 5-2 to East Texas Baptist on Thursday morning in the American Southwest Conference Championship Tournament quarterfinal.
 
The Cowgirls took one of three doubles matches against ETBU. Christa Bennett and Halle Smith combined for an 8-6 Cowgirl win playing Duarte and Dunn in the third flight.
 
Triniti McBride swept Duarte in the first set 6-0 and finished the win for Hardin-Simmons 7-5 in the second set of the fourth flight of singles.
 
The Tigers won three singles matches to get to the 5-2 victory in the first round of the ASC tournament.
 
The Cowgirls end the season in the ASC Championship Tournament for another consecutive year, finishing the 2024 campaign with a record of 8-11.
